乐播传媒 announces reopening schedule
乐播传媒 will officially resume classes on Tuesday, September 18 after the outer-band of Hurricane Florence skirted the area, causing no significant impact or damages to campus. Classes are cancelled on Monday, September 17 in order to allow time for students who traveled away from campus prior to the weather event to return safely to 乐播传媒.
Employees are asked to report to work on Monday, September 17 at their normal times. 乐播传媒 residence halls will officially re-open at 9 a.m. on Monday, September 17. However, students may return to campus sooner as their schedules allow. Campus Dining will resume normal meal services and hours on Monday. 鈥淲e extend our deepest, heart-felt prayers to the victims and their families, as well as the other residents impacted and hit hardest by Hurricane Florence,鈥� says Dr. Gary Brown, President of 乐播传媒. 鈥淲e want all the members of the 乐播传媒 Family to return to campus safely.鈥�
Students, faculty and staff are encouraged to travel back to campus with caution as there is likely debris and standing water in some areas. All members of the 乐播传媒 College family are encouraged to review weather and road conditions and make well-informed, safe choices about travel.
In recognition that some students may not be able to safely return to campus by Tuesday, the College administration has asked faculty to be considerate of students' individual situations and appropriately flexible regarding class attendance and makeup work. The College has remained in close communication with local emergency management officials, as well as the National Weather Service, to continually evaluate Hurricane Florence鈥檚 effects. College officials are continuing to monitor the situation and will update the campus community with any changes.
