Help for Students Having Personal or Academic Concerns
Many college students seek assistance when they are struggling academically or personally. The Help-A-Cane program allows you or the student you care about to connect with available resources and support. Please complete the appropriate form below to inform the college of the need for assistance.
Help for students who are experiencing:
- Academic Concerns - uncharacteristic or sudden changes in grades, attendance, or class participation
- Behavioral and Mental Health Concerns - uncharacteristic, disturbing, or disruptive behavior; discussion of self-harm or violence
- Personal Concerns - homesickness, adjusting to college, personal identity
- Family or Relationship Concerns - roommate conflicts, friends, dating relationships, any relationship concerns affecting success at LC
- Financial Concern - college accounts, unexpected financial emergency, personal and family finances
You must have a ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ email address to submit this form. If you are concerned about a student but do not have an LC email or have general questions about the Help-A-Cane program, please contact Toni Cochis, Assistant Dean of Students, 108 Davis Hall. Once a person submits a referral, a Student Life team member will reach out to the student within two business days to discuss the concern and the best way to support them.
